I believe that fitness is teeth brushing for the soul. And food for many (myself very much included) is one of life’s greatest pleasures, so eat some doughnuts and some vegetables. Through iteration over the successes, and things that don’t work (not failures, because I don’t believe you ever fail until you quit trying), one can achieve balance and live happily every after.

Lifting is life-changing

Everyone should at least do something active. But I really believe that resistance training has a pivotal place moving people towards their fitness goals. Plus lifting increases bone density more than anything else and that’s an awesome bonus we all need.

You do you

There are a lot of good answers and right ways to approach your fitness goals. Sometimes at the end of the day, the best solution is to do the things you enjoy, that still move you towards your goal. The best healthy lifestyle and fitness plan, is the one you can stick to, even if it’s not the most scientifically optimal and technically perfect.

But with balance

I believe you can have your cake and eat it too, that is, be strong and enjoy life as much as possible. Balance not only the foods you love with healthy choices, but also balance the time for fitness with your busy schedule.
